Innovation of Black and White The minimalist design of 290 square meters within the workplace offers a comfortable and serene architectural design studio that is appropriate for architects' daily work, meetings and events. Functional partition and clear visual delineation of each space are the layout strategies to solve the space capacity limitation. Set the work space beside the curtain wall for the finest natural lighting, and public area in middle to function as a hub. The architects' preferred choice is black, although a bright white working environment is equally necessary. The use of black and white is reflected not only in materials, but also in the form and operation of the space, making it incredibly appealing. Integrate the needed auxiliary functions and partition walls on a black-and-white background to show a noticeable feeling of order and fluidity. Following that, we placed freely convertible space scenes, where fresh stories and future ideas continue to emerge. Functionality in Black and White The black area is used for meetings, exhibits, salons, and forums at various times, thus moveable and folding glass walls are necessary, increasing the frequency of space utilization. The white area with plenty of natural daylight and open views provides ample cooperation space for the architect as well as a pleasant working environment. The black hollow wall between them integrates all of the office's auxiliary services in the volume, including printers, tiny bars, servers, model displays, and storage, and it serves both black and white sides. The black and white vessel embodies simplicity, efficiency, and clarity. Creativity between Black and White In the layering, several attractive touches are created to enliven the architect's work place. The geometric aperture in the black wall not only serves as a viewfinder for taking in the cityscape, but it also stimulates participation and discourse from all sides. Instead of point lights, the luminous ceiling in the dark area provides a uniform light environment that soothes the dark mood. The selections of latex paint, lacquer surface and the carpet are all influenced by the internal lighting, which gives the dark space a calm and warm feel. Walnut and brightly coloured furniture shine out in the area, reflecting the architects' unique black. Sustainability for Black and White Because of its intensity, effectivity, and order, the most essential sustainable characteristic of how changeable the space is that it may change functions. For the material choice and energy consumption, the design didn’t demolish any existing golden aluminium plate ceiling, instead incorporating them into the new space. The room layout allows for the best possible environmental views and lighting, which improves the quality of the internal environment and reduces the electric energy. And, as part of a low-energy consumption strategy, precise management of interior settings may suit a variety of objectives.
