The design of the Li-Ning Center Flagship Store embodies its fundamental values through a visionary lens. Sparked by product research and development, the project draws upon the idea of a "Sports Science Lab". While primarily a retail hub for sports merchandise, it intertwines digital elements with immersive sports experiences.

Innovation
The centerpiece of the "Sports Science Lab" on the second floor is an ensemble of four suspended glass display cases, drawing inspiration from "glass experiment capsules." Each case symbolizes a signature running shoe, instilling a scientific dimension into the brand's offerings. Users can virtually connect with the Beijing sports lab, gaining a first-hand understanding of cutting-edge running platform technologies, experiencing the fascinating interplay between technology and the human body, and leveraging data analysis to discover their perfect running shoe fit in the treadmills and digital equipment zone .

Functionality
The Li-Ning Center Flagship Store extends over two floors, encapsulating a generous 1,793 square meters. The entrance atrium on the first floor is invigorated by the brand's crossover endeavor, a coffee area, adding a dash of innovation to the brand's persona. In addition to the product areas located on the first and second floors. The second floor also features an LED screen broadcasting corporate culture films, and a classic historical shoe wall highlighting iconic models from the "Wade series," effectively communicating Li-Ning's brand ethos while showcasing the prowess of Li-Ning's basketball products and its commitment to cultivating a sports culture.

Creativity
Taking advantage of the lofty 12-meter ceiling height, a spiral staircase in the atrium is constructed like a sequence of picture frames, rhythmically housing 40 vertical rows with a total of 60 display units. Thirty-three of these showcase Li-Ning's endorsed athletes via LED screens, lightboxes, and laser-etched glass, each athlete paired with their signature basketball shoes. This visually arresting "Wall of Sports Stars" creates a compelling Li-Ning basketball atmosphere and serves as a striking visual focal point both inside and outside the space.

Sustainability
The design of the Li-Ning Center Flagship Store aligns with societal demands for sustainable strategies for the future. The project extensively employs eco-friendly and energy-efficient materials. Recycled foam, for instance, is repurposed to fashion shoe try-on stools, and molded wood particle boards form the back panel walls. All lighting fixtures utilize dimmable, low-power LED chips. The design also includes high-degradation, non-flammable kapok lightboxes as an energy-conserving alternative to power-draining LED screens. Metal decorative panels replace a significant number of baking varnish density boards to mitigate the impact of formaldehyde emissions from adhesives.
