In the name of porcelain -LESONG Art Space

The emotion brings people close to space, and to object. For the space of LESONG, the client hopes to use simple materials and minimalize the design to foreground the serenity and strength of moderation, which is also referred as the way they select the utensils.

The project is located in an office park on Yongjia Road, covering an area of 60 square meters. Based on the characteristics of its one-way lighting in the original space, we divided the space into two. Through painting the wall of bar and the entrance in grey, we ease the transition from the outer space to the exhibition space, while the curved wall suggests the space orientation. The main display is arranged on the side of the window with sufficient light, and the milky white paint helps to blend the natural light into the exhibition space.

The light fade into the depth of space. We make the move line a circulation to fulfill the extension of limited space. For the two-span layout space, the group of beam and pillar lying strongly between the two windows discords with the quiet temperament. We focus on how to make full use of the space and diminish the presence of beam and column. A symmetrical set of “beams and columns” is added at the two ends to balance the original structure, meanwhile, hides the air conditioning pipes in it.

We hope the space and exhibits to be complementary. The calm ambience and moderate sense of ritual that the gray-white space brings out appears quite charming. Also the porcelains endow the minimal space rich texture and delicacy. The mystery of the gray space and the lightness of the white space correspond to the moderate and warm feature of LESONG porcelains. Meanwhile, the porcelains on display complete the space in a true sense.
