In an industrial monument from the 19th century, which was used to manufacture gunpowder, the office space is located on the first floor of the five-storey building of the entire industrial complex.

The spatial organisation transforms the level into a flexible working landscape without interfering with the existing building. Communication and meetings with employees, visitors and customers take centre stage: the space adapts to the daily changing work requirements. Both the exchange of information as a prelude to entering and quiet areas without partitions characterise the feeling of togetherness among all employees. Whether you spend a few moments or the whole day, you will always find the right place.

The interior reflects Leik's brand identity: "This shows the strategy of how we dealt with the space holistically, from the initial concept to the execution and planned move-out. Nothing is connected to the existing space; all the tools used to create the workstations can be removed and reused in other locations. Curtains at different heights and in various acoustic qualities divide the existing space into zones that can be experienced by people. The colour and material spectrum in contrast to the existing building preserves "the old" and deliberately creates a break "to the new".

By moving into the existing building, which had been saved from decay without being used for decades, we were able to revitalise an industrial building and conserve resources. The interior walls were preserved in their original form - a thermal envelope was added on the outside and the floor was fitted with panel heating.
