In the long river of history, time goes by and everything changes, and nothing is static. The preciousness of space design lies in the style and characteristics of keeping pace with the times, always witnessing the historical context and social development from the perspective of a bystander. Minddesign--Lanzhou Vanke Crystal City Project, with the concept of "fugue of the old industrial space" as the logical intervention, takes Birmingham, an industrial city in the UK as the blueprint, and takes the characteristic crystal products as the keynote to explore the post-industrial cultural memory belonging to Lanzhou. Designers grab elements from western classical symbols, modernist materials, ukiyo-e painting culture and art, which is interpreted by contemporary artistic techniques as a diversified, fashionable and bright life scene, and endows the old industrial city with a new urban life. The colors, materials and shapes of all parties are replicas of the post-industrial era. After experiencing the history, culture and symbols of that time, the design made the space break through the shackles of time and history, and it was like shuttling between the new and the old, and everything was a fugue journey of industrial civilization.
