Located on the sixth floor of the Bellagio Shanghai, LAGO is a progressive dining experience featuring fashion-forward interiors. Concept driven LAGO embodies Italian Futurismo; a sweeping art movement of the early 20th century that rejects the past by focusing on forward-thinking dynamism and experimentation.
Through layers and forms, LAGO playfully invites guests to depart from all that is familiar and immerse themselves into the unexpected. Guests are lead towards a sculptural host stand through a dynamic corridor shaped by dozens of crystalline fins in vibrant shades of blue that reflect on sophisticated custom-cut marble floors in airy hues of white and blue.
A series of smooth abstract ceiling panels gently overlap across the ceiling, eventually cascading down the restaurant walls. Anchoring the main dining room and bar, a custom floor-to-ceiling cabinet displays a world class wine program encased in shimmering crimson chrome and burgundy smoked glass. Through a chrome portal, discover Shanghai’s most intimate cupola chamber. The angular room glows under a tubular chandelier illuminating the walls which gradually transition from soft pink to velvety red.
Through striking interior architecture and custom FF&E, Studio Munge’s design embodies the energy of Futurismo, propelling Shanghai into the infinite potential of tomorrow.
