After maximally integrating and harmonising the architectural form of Taikoo Li, we retracted the façade to create a double-folded form that produces a layered street effect. As picada is a unique culinary technique of Spain that is rather versatile, we have chosen a certain electrolytic metal sheets as the main material, whose colour changes with the aspect and reflects the richly diverse layers of flavours of picada. While understanding the social distance that people find comfortable, an adequate number of seating is ensured, so more young consumers may appreciate both the social distance and the private space that offers them a view. We have turned the centre of the entire space into a functional work area that may provide coffee and beverages and serve as a bar in the evening. Both the bottle racks and the copper sheets that diffuse the light from the ceiling are also found in this area, making it a visual focal point and a service centre that satisfies business operations. The overall spatial design concept is that, where possible, versatility is sought through the use of a single material in combination with the reflection of changing lights, so as to satisfy the visual atmosphere during different dining hours.
