Catalan modernism in Barcelona was a movement that defined the city's architectural identity with its quest for originality and the integration of ornamental and organic elements, shaping the architectural identity of Barcelona and the building where the project is located. The initial sources of inspiration for the project are rooted in the impressive façade of this modernist building, in conjunction with the organic plastic creations of La Manso pieces, which embody a contemporary fusion of craftsmanship, design, and technology.

The purpose was to create a captivating brand experience that encouraged users to transcend the digital where the brand exists and immerse themselves in a physical space where they could personally contemplate each piece. By combining the floral elements of the modernist façade with the contemporary plasticity of the brand's product, the concept realized by External Reference became a reinterpretation of classic decorations that highlights the brand's values. Through 3D-printed pieces designed exclusively for this space, the interior of the store becomes an extension of the exterior. Organic shapes take center stage, transforming the façade's ornaments into large rosettes with spatio-temporal deformations and bas-reliefs. "These furniture pieces, digitally sculpted and brought into the physical world through 3D printing, showcase craftsmanship that combines traditional techniques with computational design. They address the challenges of transforming digital designs into tangible objects."

As part of the exhibition, the jewelry is illuminated to highlight the uniqueness of each piece, creating an intimate and deliberate environment that invites exploration and discovery of the perfect item. The conceptual design extends into the street by repeating, reflecting, and reinterpreting the brand's logo, blending it with the three-dimensional elements present in the interior's creative language. In the detail of the sign, strategically located under the corner window that embraces the surrounding streets with its decorations, a visual connection is established between the interior space and the urban environment.

In terms of sustainability, the project utilizes 3D printing techniques, significantly reducing the waste generated during production. These methods are not only efficient but also offer a level of precision and customization that would traditionally involve more resource-intensive processes.
