Sitting on a slope in a suburb of Taipei, the penthouse is a sleek and modern two-bedroom home immersed in greenery and boasting views of Taipei downtown. The residential is built with a nearly 7-meter height ceiling and 3 sides of the balcony for sunlight. Throughout the house, floor-to-ceiling windows let natural light pour into the different spaces.

The core of the space is the living area, which contains a fireplace covered with blue-ish marble, alongside monotone color, and minimalist nifty furniture to create a soft and quiet ambiance. The kitchen is characterized by walnut wood, and great finished Neolith stone. The huge island is arranged in the middle of the space, with a built-in electric indulging cooker to create a place for gathering and cooking.

The featherlight staircase with glass handrail creates a weightless structure, which also gives a huge amount of storage underneath. The staircase leads to the opened study area, where the owner can easily recreate the space for either working, reading, or painting. The upper level features a master bedroom, a walk-in wardrobe, and a bathroom with a comfy bathtub.

The interior is inspired by our designer’s and client’s shared fascination for classical and minimalist in Europe. We tried to combine the elements of these two concepts, with symmetrical walls and doors, merging with a neat and minimalist structure.
