Kyochon Office - Almost Home Inscribing Sustainability, A Second Home Harmonizing Work and Life

Kyochon F&B’s new headquarters reimagines the ‘workplace’ as a comfortable, creative “second home” where employees spend significant portions of their day. The building embodies Kyochon’s ESG philosophy, transcending conventional office space to become a sustainable hub that coexists with the environment.

The pantry space, prominently visible upon entry, reflects Kyochon’s F&B identity while naturally facilitating interdepartmental communication through its central location. Inspired by ‘home’ as its design motif, this area uniquely combines sharing, collaboration, and relaxation—elements rarely found in traditional office cultures. Flexible features like folding doors enable spaces to adapt for various gathering sizes and purposes.

This flexibility extends throughout the work environment. With 70% hot-desking, employees can choose settings based on their tasks: nature-view seats, two-person collaboration spaces, or individual focus areas. This diverse seating arrangement provides comfortable workspaces while fostering creative thinking through environmental variation.

Sustainability manifests throughout the headquarters through innovative material use. The courtyard features paper objects symbolizing Kyochon’s paper-over-plastic packaging philosophy, while recycled plastic fabrics and eggshell terrazzo countertops showcase environmental commitment. These elements reduce environmental impact, cultivate employee pride, and reinforce the brand’s ESG initiatives to visitors.

The eighth floor dramatically expresses this philosophy in its main lounge, designed after traditional Korean ‘daecheongmaru’ and ‘madang.’ A paper sculpture reinterpreting the village community tree—historically a symbol of harmony and prosperity—anchors the water feature, creating a space where diverse members gather to shape Kyochon’s distinct culture.

The Kyochon Pangyo headquarters, true to its ‘Village of Learning’ concept, offers a warm second home where people and the environment harmonize. Here, we work, share, and grow together while contributing to environmental sustainability through eco-friendly materials and thoughtful design. Beyond mere convenience, this space represents a thoughtful approach to long-term sustainability, serving as a launching point for expanding Kyochon F&B's core values of ‘ethical management’ and ‘sharing.’ Drawing inspiration from the comfort of “home,” we envision this new headquarters fostering diverse narratives that reflect the richness inherent in the name “Kyochon.”
