Born from the 'pursuit of perfection under the dancing light', Kodawari embodies innate Japanese philosophy with universal principles—contemplation, meditation, passion, persistence, commitment, and attention to detail. Nestled in Mont Albert's serene landscape, Kodawari epitomizes a bespoke community lifestyle, reflecting a meticulous design philosophy beyond the ordinary.

Kodawari is a residential development comprised of 5 homes located in a suburban area of Melbourne. The living rooms in these residences are fully open and have numerous sources of light and ventilation. Its simplicity inspires the building design in form, with clean lines consistently echoed in every building corner detail. Gently clothed with palatable duo tones of the external building finishes, the building design is defined by its enduring elegance and grace in contemporary architecture.

The other highlight of these residences is the unifying spatial structure with a focal view on its private gardens to strengthen the connection between inhabitants and nature. The Japanese-inspired landscape encourages relaxation and self-healing. These gardens are well intertwined with internal living designed to comfort families of any size and age, catering to generational living. The interior finishes are a mixture of natural finishes in neutral colours that provides a sophisticated touch and experience to the occupants for long-term living. Another masterpiece that harnesses both home-life quality and luxury living that surpasses traditional residences.

Kodawari's landscape is an artistic masterpiece, echoing traditional Japanese garden precision. Private courtyards, inspired by Zen Temples, feature elements like gravel, rocks, Mondo Grass, and Japanese Trident Maple, creating spaces for contemplation. Dotted with canopied Maple trees, the landscape transforms with seasonal foliage, harmonizing with the facade's polished aesthetic. The courtyards, mirroring traditional Japanese gardens, feature gravel, rocks, and native flora, fostering a serene oasis that transcends the ordinary.

The pursuit of perfection extends to Kodawari's materials. Natural stone finishes enhance functionality and sustainability, absorbing ambient temperatures. Engineered timber flooring cultivates a homely atmosphere, with warm tones harmonizing seamlessly with sustainability features. Courtyards, resembling traditional Japanese gardens, feature gravel, rocks, and native flora, offering stunning textures.

A spherical element in Kodawari's facade symbolizes universal unity, seamlessly integrating with nature. Architectural brilliance, landscape design, and material selection converge into a symphony, pleasing the eye and nurturing balance.

In conclusion, Kodawari transcends traditional residences, harmonizing Japanese philosophy with contemporary living, leaving an indelible mark on Mont Albert—a legacy of timeless elegance and an unwavering commitment to the pursuit of perfection.
