<Office Design for "KASSEN," Creators of Creative Visuals>
"KASSEN" is a VFX studio that handles a wide range of visual production, including commercials and music videos. This project aimed to design an office space that allows creative professionals in the field of visual production to perform at their highest level. The concept is "Unfinished Space"—a space with room for growth and modification. By using carefully designed, simple and minimalist furniture to divide the space and create functional areas, we created an environment that always leaves room for further adaptation and change. This reflects the dynamic nature of KASSEN as a rapidly growing company, allowing the office space to evolve alongside the company itself.

<Spatial Composition for Each Floor Based on Activity Levels>
The office was categorized into three activity levels: Passive, Active, and Neutral, and each floor was designed accordingly:
• B1F: Office (Passive) – A space for focused work.
• 1F: Preview Room (Active) + Elevator Hall (Neutral) – A room for active video reviews and discussions.
• 2F: Office (Passive) + Meeting Space (Active) + Main Entrance (Neutral) – A space for focused work and smooth transitions to meetings, with an entrance.
• 3F: Office (Passive) + Meeting Space (Active) + Elevator Hall (Neutral) – A floor combining concentrated work and collaboration.
• 4F: Lounge (Neutral) – A relaxed workspace.
Materials and lighting were tailored to each function, encouraging shifts in mood. Metallic materials enhance focus in Passive spaces, soft woods promote collaboration in Active spaces, and Neutral spaces balance both. These designs naturally improve focus and communication.

<Design Approach — A Space Design that Evolves with the Company’s Growth>
The building's interior was stripped down to its neutral elements, including concrete, mortar, and white walls. Simple materials such as 2x4 lumber, plywood, and steel pipes were used as the primary construction elements. These rough materials were refined through processes like staining and high-gloss finishing to create a comfortable and high-quality atmosphere. By constructing spaces with flexible, adaptable furniture, the entire office was designed to have both flexibility and adaptability, allowing the space to continuously evolve in response to the studio's growth and changing needs.

<The Significance of Design — Office Design that Inspires Creative Innovation>
The concept of "Unfinished Space" shapes the design of this office, where easily accessible construction materials are used alongside carefully crafted furniture to divide the space and create functional zones. This approach allows the office to evolve alongside KASSEN’s growth, continually adapting to the company's changing needs. Our goal is for this flexible and creatively dynamic space to serve as the source of inspiration and creativity for the entire studio, which is dedicated to producing innovative visual content.
