As the brand's first flagship store in China, the project is located in a district of Guangzhou known for its vibrant youth culture and trendy atmosphere, as well as a renowned historical architectural complex. Today, KANGOL is trending on social media worldwide, representing a legendary British brand with a century-old history and rich cultural heritage. With a deep understanding of the brand and the local neighborhood, the primary design objective of the project is to showcase and perpetuate the brand's culture while embracing Eastern aesthetic characteristics, integrating seamlessly with the city and the local culture, and capturing the attention and admiration of the local youth.

The building's exterior exudes understated elegance, featuring a sleek and contemporary architectural style with black color handmade bricks, which are made from volcanic rock that responses to the local traditional bricks commonly found in the neighborhood.

This design sparks renewed conversations about the historical buildings by incorporating a texture that the locals are familiar with while introducing innovative elements. Through the design and development of the material, these customized bricks will showcase intricate details that change with varying light conditions and viewing perspectives.

The main material of the interior is wood, creating a soft and warm ambiance that contrasts with the sleekness of the facade. This provides a clean backdrop for the impressive display of products. A circular skylight on the second floor enhances the serenity of the space, evoking a Zen-like atmosphere in harmony with Eastern aesthetics. It provides visitors a tranquil spot to rest and unwind after their shopping experience.
