The mountainous area of Moganshan remains unspoiled; forests of bamboo and pine, mountains studded with rising clouds, lakes and waterfalls and picturesque tea farms — all have inspired the design of Joe Lalli Resort Hotel from the outside in.
Partnering with JADE+QA, Stylus Studio has mirrored the exterior architecture and crafted interiors that are bold, organic and alluring with their ethereal, heavenly forms. The interiors pay tribute to nature's forms and textures; Stylus Studio is lauded for creating an unexpected hotel experience using expected natural materials.
Lobby
A dramatic “bamboo cloud” staircase greets visitors and delivers a heavenly hierarchy to the spaces. The feature pendant, inspired by the bamboo fins of the architecture, intends to connect earth and sky and craft an almost osmotic connection from the exterior to the interior.
Ballroom and Lounge
With the design DNA mimicry of the surrounding area, the ballroom and lobby lounge both reinterpret the tea flower indigenous to Moganshan. The ballroom lighting modernizes the traditional Chinese chandelier approach while allowing for spectacular control and variation to suit a number of events.
Aside from the general lobby, tea lounge, and public spaces, ballroom, multi-function rooms Stylus Studio’s design scope included 42 guest-rooms, and a 120 pax Chinese restaurant, featuring four private dining rooms all are characterized with Asian sensitivities with international aesthetics.
