JLL is an international stock market listed real estate company. Tétris Design & Build is a full subsidiary of JLL and is also located in the JLL office. Their Dutch headquarters is situated at the Amsterdam South Axis in the New Atrium building. Their old office was more than ten years old, outdated, dark and filled with only desks and some meeting rooms. There was no space for quick calls, informal meetings or concentrated work. People often complained about how the office just drained all their energy out of them. While both companies are growing and want to attract new talent, they had to look for a new space. They found it in the same building but within a newly built tower. Tétris has designed and constructed their new office. The new office has two floors with an internal staircase. They implemented activity based working, which means no one has their own desk. They work in dedicated neighborhoods, but everyone is free to sit wherever they want. In the office there are different kind of areas for different kinds of work. There is a mediation/game room, agile meeting room, stage with the best view over the South Axis, boardroom and work restaurant. The new office is a real showcase for JLL and Tétris, not only because of the look & feel but also how it stimulates collaboration between departments and human beings.
