JLL's innovative office design reimagines the workspace as a dynamic cityscape, transforming traditional elements into an urban-inspired layout. Meeting rooms and cubicles become individual ‘buildings’ connected by street-like passages, while neighborhoods cater to different workstyles. The centerpiece is an open-tiered forum, envisioned as a city park with planters, tree-like timber beams, and expansive views framing the surrounding streetscape.

The 'building' concept unifies JLL's diverse real estate business units, serving as a common element in their work. This urban design approach fosters spontaneous connections and innovation while providing quieter zones for focused work and gathering spaces in breakaway café areas or the parkland auditorium. The inclusive environment caters to neurodivergent needs and various work preferences, with meeting rooms and privacy booths featuring playful windows that frame characterful interiors. The layout balances open collaborative areas, private meeting rooms for virtual and in-person attendance, and secluded spots for concentration.

A central feature wall links the ground and first floors, with vertical patterning referencing a building façade. Inset backlit panels and shelving 'windows' enhance the urban feel. The double access stairs, adorned with a large tree planter and hanging pendant lights, evoke old-town European city streets. 'Buildings' are finished with acoustic materials like cork tiles and ribbed columns, reflecting Brussels' urban fabric. JLL's global brand colors are subtly applied as soft blue finishes with red accents, while local elements provide context for the Belux head office.

In line with JLL's Net Zero commitment, the design incorporates extensive circular principles. 80% of materials and furniture from the previous office were upcycled and repurposed. Examples include transforming cleaned carpeting into a dark green acoustic wall finish, re-cutting existing glass for interior meeting room windows, repurposing old studio shelves for colorful storage interiors, and reimagining old office chairs as seating in the open café forum. Natural materials such as stone and cork in the open forum, wall treatments made with natural clay, and MDF panels from recycled material enhance well-being. Plant features and imagery throughout the space contribute to its pursuit of Well Platinum Label certification for Office Interiors.

The resulting two-floor office radiates warmth through timber elements and colorful details, creating an inviting atmosphere visible from street level. It showcases JLL's values by seamlessly blending sustainability, employee well-being, and innovative design. This reimagined workspace not only meets the current needs of JLL's diverse team but also sets a new standard for adaptive, sustainable offices deeply connected to their urban context.
