47 Store is a small jewelry boutique of local brands is located in an old factory building built in 1911 in the center of Moscow. The ceiling height in the room is 3.8m, the total area is 47 square meters, the space is elongated and faces the street with two floor-to-ceiling windows.

Due to the limited space and a large assortment we had to work very carefully with the ergonomics of the space. There are several categories of goods in the store, and each of them requires a special approach to the exposition. For example, costume jewelry and inexpensive jewelry, as the most popular product, should be located openly so that customers could measure them. For this purpose, we designed a central table and developed special bright chandelier with mirrors above it, so that customers could immediately look at their reflection without leaving this area. This solution was incredibly successful and greatly improved the customer experience.

Around the perimeter of the space, we designed display cabinets with glass and magnetic hidden locks, where expensive jewelry is displayed. At the far end of the store is the reception desk finished in galvanized steel. It is worth mentioning separately the complex lighting scheme - where each zone is selected for the light of the necessary characteristics. The central light fixture is also the main visual element; when we thought it up, we were inspired by the old Soviet futuristic cartoon about space exploration - "The Mystery of the Third Planet".

In addition to functionality, we also paid attention to sustainability - minimizing our carbon footprint, we installed laconic furniture volumes inside an old room with old textures, leaving them untouched, without putting labor and materials into the walls, floor and ceiling.

If we talk about the overall concept, it is a display of three forms of the same substance - zinc applied to steel sheets. The first material is the brushed galvanized stainless steel from which the side bollard consoles are made. The second material is rough spot galvanization, which we give a new aesthetic meaning to, as this material is not often used in finishing, despite its understated beauty. We designed a massive central table with geometric legs from galvanized steel.

The third material is steel sheets with galvanized zinc, incredibly colorful, covered with a "petrol film" of complex and bright shades. This material is used in the finishing of the back wall and the receptionist's desk. This technique of different execution of the same material reflects our understanding of jewelry art - the main thing is not what it is made of, but the main thing is how and by whom.
