Sony’s Creative Center created a bespoke Landmark Project (INTO SIGHT) for 2022 London Design Festival (LDF) to mark the 20th anniversary edition.

INTOSIGHT was an extremely popular attraction and very well-received by visitors and in press coverage. This project set-out to illustrate the coexistence of physical and meta realities.

INTO SIGHT was a life-sized media platform installation, where Sony’s Creative Center played on sensorial effects that transform simple boundary surfaces into an infinite vista through shifting light, colour, and generative sound. Stepping into the installation unleashed a unique response, as you venture further inside you will became more aware of unexpected visual and audio dimensions that continuously evolve through your interactions.

The installation consisted of a tunnel featuring a 220-inch Crystal LED screen, transparent dichroic mirrored glass walls and floor with speaker embedded ceiling. A unique sensorial experience demonstrated a full spectrum of design disciplines coming together: product and spatial design, interaction and sound design, 3D CGI and graphic design.

The designer’s objective was to create an interactive experience that conveys the possibilities of design and allows people physically and emotional connect.
