INNOCEAN asked for a powerful solution that would express their creativity and professionalism while preserving a high level of functionality and efficiency. Around 32 working spaces, a reception area, two meeting rooms, a “War Room”, a cafeteria, an informal meeting space, a telephone booth, and services are allocated in a surface of 400sqm.
The space has been revamped from scratch, leaving the ceiling above the working areas untouched, revealing pipes and a charming unpolished concrete surface.
A central sculptural element, composed of layered panels and massive white walls, evolves like a spine throughout the space, regulating function, circulation, and zoning. Each of the panels is cladded in sound insulating material on one side and wood on the other. The fronts are kept white to recall a sense of continuity. The width of the panels varies progressively in an undulating organic movement. In contrast, massive white walls intersect with the repetitive panes creating tension and quieting the design. Within this composite wall all functions, including a telephone booth, printers, wardrobe, lighting, shelves, storage and service rooms, were allocated and disguised.
Oiled oak wood and concrete vinyl flooring underline the dynamic zoning. Unique rooms behind orange tinted glass-doors provide privacy and functional meeting situations.
Wooden and orange elements introduce warmth to the functional minimal workspace design and the cool white meeting and reception areas.
