The project is a restaurant that subtly places the wilderness experience into a modern retail complex with a smooth transition, and a natural combination of an indoor garden expedition and the enjoyment of hotpot.
Innovation: The designers reevaluate the connection between the local youth culture and the timeless charm of traditional garden strolls, and to harmonize visual trends with enduring beauty and balance the unfamiliar with the familiar throughout their creative process. Diners will embark on a gastronomic adventure of hotpot that not only promises a blend of urban charm with natural exploration, but also provides a rich view and relaxing environment. Here, they can enjoy the company of friends throughout a healing and pleasant dining experience.
Creativity: The core essence of the brand, aiming to blend the vibrancy of youth culture with the timeless joy of strolling through a garden, requires a fresh update and reinterpretation in light of emerging aesthetic trends. The undulating terrain, layered with stones and herbs, enhances the wilderness experience. The design successfully places the wilderness experience into a modern retail complex with a seamless transition happening at the waiting area.
Functionality: The wooden structures in the waiting area subtly conceal the dining space, acting as both an entrance partition and a partial screen for the dining area. Additionally, they seamlessly marry aesthetic charm with practical functionality, providing a comfortable seating option for diners waiting while enticing passers-by to step into a unique culinary journey. The ceiling and walls undergo deconstruction and reconstruction, guiding diners through a circulation pattern that blends the refined garden ambiance with the playful spirit of the wilderness, combining the sense of security found in shelter with the curiosity to explore. A full-height glass curtain wall ushers in ample sunlight, while a staircase and mezzanine link two floors. A strategically placed mirror extends the horizontal visual elements upward, echoing a meticulously crafted landscape pond and fostering a visual liberation that transforms constraints into boundless expanses.
Sustainability: Sustainable materials are used throughout the project. Ash white wood and natural stone are utilized as primary surface materials, while recyclable aluminum is used in additional supportive structures. Herbs take center stage among the plants to highlight a wilderness experience. Purpose-built slots at the base ensure easy maintenance of the herbs on-site and allow for regular changes.
