Property and Urban Design A green corridor leads along the south-north and characterizes the property and the surrounding area with the existing outdoor swimming pool and the event hall. Placed on the northwest corner and aligned to north-south, the new building blends in slimly to the present situation. The existing buildings including the car park, DRK / DLRG and kiosk remain and are part of the new ensemble.
The main entrance to the indoor pool is orientated to the east, forms the periphery as well as the address and creates short distances to the parking lots in front of it. Main entrance and foyer accommodate a cash register or slot machines for the winter season. The changing facilities serve both - the indoor and the outdoor pool. The foyer with office- and infrastructure directs the way to the changing rooms and allows a good view of the bathing hall.
The 25-m pool with generous peripheral surfaces is oriented to the west towards the green area, and the children‘s pool at the south end to the south, close to the children‘s pool of the outdoor pool. Construction, Material and Technology The basement, as well as the basins which are provided with an elevated stainless steel inner lining, consist of a reinforced concrete structure.
The roof structure of the new building is curved laminated beams made out of wood. The opaque facade surfaces in the roof and the wall are covered with anodized aluminium sheet. The transparent components are steel post and beam facades with 2 or 3-fold glazing. The existing pool technology of the outdoor pool will be connected to the basement of the new indoor pool. The necessary, supplementary water treatment takes place there. The ventilation station for the indoor pool is located in the basement.
The ventilation takes place by blowing on the circulated glass facade as well as sucking off the used air and returning it to the basement. The energy supply is ensured by the CHP.
