To present BUREL (a Portuguese handmade fabric, made entirely of Wool, with it’s origin in the mountains) in the Maison&Object trade fair, we’ve designed a 4x4x4m metal structure, that mimics a machine pro-ducing BUREL.
Cutted, sewed, painted, written, twisted, folded, hunged, screwed, col-oured, shaped (3D handmade Stitches) and textured, on ceilings, walls, floors, etc, to exemplify the aesthetical, thermal, insulating and acoustic advantages in it’s applications. A contemporary space to let people know about this beautiful craft and piece of Portuguese story.
BUREL, is a felted wool that became a highly resistant fabric and is per-fect for coatings and several other decoration applications.
