As Hyundai Capital (HC) UK makes an important shift from financial services to fintech it was important to conceive an attractive, practical and creative work environment capable of adapting to the firm’s evolving office structure, and attract top tech talent while delivering a workplace that meets the needs of existing clients and employees. Activity based working was central to this design, and their space offers contemporary, flexible working through a variety of different settings. The design also takes into consideration that HC’s new home has a reduced number of support resources. By embracing this key consideration, the design is more akin to a ‘kit of parts’ that users can modify to best suit their work needs. High spec lighting, furniture, flooring and finishes have been combined to distinguish neighbouring areas for different activities without the need for floor to ceiling partitioning. This mix of high and low finishes blend seamlessly together to showcase the elegant yet approachable design values which Hyundai Capital strive to achieve. Its ‘sophisticated industrial’ quality appeals, attracts and helps to retain top talent while delivering the best office space in Reigate – a future proofed environment providing authenticity, purpose and accelerating innovation.
