This is a residential design project requested by a family, a couple with two children. They have a house with multi extension and bi-level structure, where they felt very uncomfortable to live in. After the make-over the designer has done, the house is completely remodeled to create a spacious, stylish and tranquil living space for the family.

The designer transformed the original impractical and cramped bi-leveled structure, lowered the dining area to the living area level, gained the height advantage, and combined two areas into the same space, make it a lot more spacious and united. As the clients have elderly to come visit occasionally, the designer intentionally changed the position of the stairs, and transform it into a stylish marble stairs. To allow an elevator placed at the original stairs spot, provided convenience for the elderly.

Entering the foyer, besides the moss cladded wall, the first thing that catches attention is a wooden art installation, it served not only as an art piece that decorated the long corridor, but also a shoes changing seat, which combined artistic and functional elements into the interior design.

Comes to the living and dining area, designer applied only white color tone with 2 natural elements to maintain minimal quiet in the interiors, like white marble stairs and wooden flooring. Infused a hint of concrete to add some texture to the interiors, it makes the space calm, relaxing yet stylish. The designer intentionally designed a large window next to dining area, to allow more sunlight into the darker area.

Walking up the stairs to the family room, a one way sliding doors connected the family room and the garden, and it can be turned into one large functional space. As for the usual routine, the family room serve as the playground for the children. Surrounded by the other houses, the garden is lacking sunlight and view, the designer put the plant rack and arranged different plants here. Encased in greenery, the space feels peaceful yet lively.

For the master suite, the designer arranged the bed to face towards to ocean, the owners can enjoy the relaxing beach view every morning when they woke up. The designer tailored the flow to match with the daily routine of the family. The sophisticated study area has been arranged at the back of the master bed, as the couple love to get online together. The suite is completed with a spacious bathroom and walk-in closet. On the other side of the corridor, there lays the baby room. The designer placed the baby room on the same levels with the master bedroom, to make it more convenient for the parents to look after the new born.
