Hotel Via Via – not a traditional hotel
Hotel Via Via is located in a former office building from the national telephone company, build in the 1950’s in the heart of Leeuwarden. In contrast with the traditional exterior of the building is Hotel Via Via not a traditional hotel. The result is an interesting mixture of different brightly coloured hotel rooms within the original structure, connected by cheerful hallways. On the ground floor you’ll find a sparkling open lobby space including an honesty shop with local products. On top of that, there is a cosy and vivid living room to relax, enjoy each other’s company or play a game. Through the whole building you can find original details like the travertine in the hallway, the steal window frames and staircases.

Artwork
The hotel is full of colour, fluent shapes, fun elements and high quality materials. The interior design is based on a positive, friendly and happy atmosphere with an eye for unique details, quality and creativity. To illustrate this; in every room you will find a collage of 6 to 8 original works of art. These have been carefully collected from auctions and depots from museums. In total you can find more than 450 artworks in the hotel.

Independent
Guests enter the hotel and their rooms with an electronic key on their phone. Breakfast can be purchased at the shop and can be enjoyed in the living room, garden or hotel room. Other guests prefer to go into town and eat or drink in a local restaurant. Therefore, guests of Hotel Via Via are very independent, which is also the origin of the concept. The concept is created from the perspective of a modern, independent woman. A woman who enjoys a place to stay while exploring the city and expects a comfortable and stylish accommodation.
