Ibis Styles Perlach is part of a new building complex in the Munich district of Neuperlach, in which the hotel is given a special radiance in addition to retail stores, apartments and gastronomy. Arnold / Werner is responsible for the planning and design of all interior spaces for the hotel, including the lobby, bar, restaurant and 172 rooms.
The design motto especially developed for this hotel is „Munich Disco”, and so guests encounter a colorful and form-playful world of the 1980s. The public area is the hub of the hotel where different functions meet and merge, creating a meeting place for everyone. The premises are characterized by bold colors, many light sources, and reflective, shimmering materials such as mirror-polished stainless steel and corrugated metal. Furthermore, white terrazzo tiles and surfaces primarily in bordeaux violet and ultramarine blue define the public areas. Combined with gently curved counters, custom-designed seating islands made of round upholstered elements and neon lettering, guests are offered an experience into a new "world". Considering things of daily use such as fixtures, Arnold / Werner has taken special care to use durable materials.
The hotel rooms are cozy but efficiently designed and surprise with special details. Carpets with Memphis patterns and alternating red-violet and midnight-blue walls and ceilings create the expressive-minimalist look typical of the heyday of disco music. In the End, the interior of Ibis Styles Perlach impresses by its photogenic surroundings, which create a "wow-effect".
