City Weissenstein is refined 3-star superior boutique hotel located in the center of St. Gallen, Switzerland. With a deep understanding of the historical background and the development of the city, the hotel was designed to showcase the highlights the city provides. Known for its renowned textile industry and embroideries, it has slowly developed into a hub for fashion and art. Lifestyle and fashion within a creative loft atmosphere is the main theme of the design concept of City Weissenstein. Thus the unexpected details in the two rooftop suites. Drafting tables with sketching paper and large skylights create a light-flooded loft-like space. A pinboard with original patterns, sketches, and material samples, each equipped by the textile designers of the two brands Jakob Schlaepfer and Christian Fischbacher, materializes the main theme and encourages the guests to find creativity within themselves. The design of the other rooms also follow the guiding theme of lifestyle and fashion: Refined bathrooms, strong colors, and a cozy sitting and working corner, creating a warm and homely atmosphere. Some rooms are also equipped with a small kitchenette. The headboard consists of large pillows covered with Christian Fischbacher fabrics, also dressing the room with color and patterns yet adding functionality. The lobby is the living room. The separation of the breakfast area and lounge is deliberately avoided: The entire room is suitable for breakfast. During the day, the guest can also enjoy the cozy atmosphere of the lobby, whether for working, reading, holding meetings, or just appreciate the space.
