The designer managed to preserve and highlight the original structures of the girder-less floor and umbrella columns. They told a story of “the evolvement from blurred to high definition images” to epitomize the TV industry’s development history. Wherein the original grid-separated floor is used to symbolize the blurred pixels, echoing the dynamic images of the elevation. In this way, different blurry states were displayed vividly through various space languages. The “upgrading of generations and models” in commercial sense has been artfully interpreted as a process “keep pursuing improvement and refinement”, an ingenious transformation to infuse the space with commercial values and meanings. The building material of PP sheets is used to filter the light so as to extend the characteristics of the spectrum screen to the whole space. A scene of chaos is created when the light goes through the 5mm PP sheets, as though a living thing with heartbeat and breath. Furthermore, all components of the obsolete TV sets are taken out to be cleaned, arranged and cast in resins. The transparency of the resin gave new life to these internal parts .
