In Xi'an, China, Qiaodao Studio designed a four-story office space for a consultancy firm, with the two subterranean levels reflecting the subconscious and the ground levels extending rational thought.

In the basement, the designers employed a high-level structure and steel framework to create a double-layered space, enhancing both functionality and multidimensional experience. The staircase, redesigned not merely as a conduit between floors, has become a focal point of visual and experiential interest, guiding occupants to appreciate the unique atmosphere of each level. The use of eco-friendly materials, such as recycled aluminum for the top ceiling and reclaimed red bricks in the stairwell, not only aligns with the principles of sustainable design but also narrates the building's history.

In this space, every corner is imbued with life, evolving with user interaction and the passage of time to reveal diverse facets. The establishment of open spaces aims to foster communication and efficiency, and also encourages employees to find their optimal working state at any moment. Through such design, Qiaodao Studio demonstrates a profound understanding of architectural vitality, showing that space is not merely a static backdrop but an organic entity capable of growth and adaptation over time.
