The body is like a stone, forming gaps in its staggering,
The light is like water, spilling through the gaps,
The sofa is like a reef, allowing water to flow through it,
Clothes are plants, growing infinitely in nature.

The HCH Grey Stone concept shop is located on the ground floor of Wuhan The Mixc, with three sides facing the street and an area of approximately 290 sqm. The site is not big, but originally had 18 concrete columns, we hope to break the perception of traditional clothing shops and integrate different scenarios and functions of retail space into a unique spatial experience.

Human beings seem to be born with the gene of adventure, full of curiosity and desire for the unknown and mysterious. In a mall with over 400 brands we wanted to create a space that would make people curious and eager to explore, using 18 ” stones“ to create a maze of grottoes in the city. "The "stones" are not simply stacked horizontally against each other, but are imagined to have fallen from the sky, subject to gravity and mutual forces. "The 'Stones' either 'lie flat', or 'tip', or 'squeeze', or "stacked". Gaps of varying sizes are formed between the "Stones", either as entrances, windows, passageways or selling spaces. After nightfall, the warm light of the interior permeates through the gaps, and people are inclined by curiosity to follow the direction of the light and enter the interior, exploring the "treasures" prepared by HCH in the "Stonehenge", listening to the ramblings of clothes in the gaps, and experiencing the rawness of life. Experience the rawness of life.

HCH Grey Stone is a spatial structure that integrates intimate/storage spaces with the original network of columns, creating a sense of staggering in the space; in terms of materials, we wanted to integrate the artisan's emotions into the space, where the functional components become one with the spatial form itself: the metal hanging rods are like structural supports between the huge blocks, presenting unique and gorgeous clothes in the gaps of the boulders; and The "stones" have been experimented and explored by the craftsmen nearly a hundred times to form different textured surfaces with a handmade texture, creating a primitive spatial atmosphere and contrasting with the colourful clothes and delicate art exhibits; the silver aluminium panels have been polished by hand to create a mottled texture; the fitting rooms are hand-woven on the walls to create a soft and skin-friendly feeling, contrasting with the external contrasting with the structure of the space.

HCH Grey Stone hopes to convey the spirit and temperament of unisex, equality and self-confidence. The space composed of simple and rough grey blocks is blurred in gender, regardless of gender, age and occupation. And it is not only a clothing store, but also an art space, home aesthetics and a living field.
