Harrison Urby New Jersey is a dynamic multi-phase residential development of over 1000 homes. Concrete is responsible for the architecture, interiors, and large parts of the landscape design. Urby is a distinctive residential brand catering to the evolving demands of urban dwellers by offering competitively priced rental housing in various sizes, cleverly utilizing space and natural light. The buildings at Harrison Urby are designed to foster community through its spatial design, actively programmed communal spaces, and digital apps. Urby adapts its architectural designs to meet the unique needs of each neighbourhood and responds to the changing dynamics of urban life.

A Small-Scale Neighbourhood The design of Harrison Urby focuses on creating a neighborhood across three city blocks. Wood-construct buildings encircle the multiple distinctive but connected inner courtyards accessible to both residents and partially the public. These green and lush courtyards organically connect all communal areas, creating natural opportunities for neighbors to meet. The publicly accessible café and restaurant are combined with the two entrances of the complex, welcoming both residents and the general public with open doors. Despite its size, the distinctive volumes and the variety in façade treatments ensures the project to feel like a small scale mini-town and create an intimate appearance.

Extensive Amenities Harrison Urby goes beyond housing, offering various public functions and communal amenities. The unique architecture includes a house-shaped entrance café, a saw-tooth pavilion with a gym, a colourful basketball hall and a free-standing CLT wooden entrance pavilion with a public restaurant, garden room, and library.

Residents can use the communal kitchen, co-working snug room, yoga studio, the hidden bar "Sneaky Cats", and the music studio where the artist in residence resides.
