The site is located on a hill with an altitude of 199m, and you can see Mt. Daisen and Lake Shinji from the luxurious site surrounded by nature 360 degrees. Since we usually live in close proximity to nature, we created an architecture that allows us to feel nature from a new perspective by taking in a certain sense of distance from nature and cutting out landscapes that cannot be perceived with our daily vision.
Since the plan was to rebuild the building on the site where a hipped barn was originally built, the shape of the building was used as it was on the long and narrow site, and a hipped roof was adopted as it has an affinity with the land. Considering the amount of snowfall in winter, we planned to create a space in the interior space by using a steeply sloping roof. It has a sense of volume like that of a one-story house, and all the spaces under the roof are continuous and guided to the outside through the windows.
In the center of the building, the main pillar of the cypress with the rough texture of joints is placed, and you can feel the power of nature even when you are inside. The living room, room 01, attic 01, etc. are spaces that can be used by children who have returned home, and the kitchen, master bedroom, walk-in closet, and other private spaces are gently separated by a single pillar. The hipped gable side of the roof on the southeast side is an opening, and the plan is to cut out the passage of air and the natural environment so that the sky and trees come closer.
Unlike the city area, my wife, who used to live in the main house of Imbe when she was a child, returned to the land of Imbe, surrounded by luxurious nature. think.
