ALPINE TRANQUILITY, URBAN ENERGY: A WORKSPACE IN BALANCE
Meticulously crafted—with Swiss precision and the tranquility of snow-capped peaks—the new office of Habraken Rutten Advocaten reflects a seamless evolution of our previous collaboration. While preserving the essence of the earlier renovation, we created an environment that balances serenity and comfort.

At the heart of the office, a striking pavilion serves as a central gathering point, subtly bringing the outdoors in. A distinctive ceiling enhances the sense of openness, transforming what was once a closed-off space into a welcoming social hub. Warm lighting, soft furnishings, and open shelving contribute to a residential ambiance. A concealed bar allows the reception to shift effortlessly into a vibrant meeting space after hours.

Flexible Spaces with a Skyline View
Meeting rooms with large pivot doors offer flexible configurations and uninterrupted views of the Amsterdam skyline. This dynamic setting allows the pavilion to become part of the city’s evolving landscape.

Material Harmony: A Refined Palette with Subtle Industrial Echoes
A curated material palette reinforces the office’s refined aesthetic. Wood veneer, natural stone, and two-toned carpeting create a layered interior, subtly unified by a restrained grey color scheme. Honest materials and textures echo the industrial sector in which Habraken Rutten operates. Custom wooden cabinetry integrates graphic detailing, while a tailored lighting concept redefines the space after dark.

Designing for Identity and Function
The challenge: to create a workspace that reflects the DNA of Habraken Rutten’s Rotterdam office, with added serenity and refinement. The result is an environment that radiates professionalism yet remains calm and inviting. Beauty here is found in experience, spaciousness, and harmony.

Strategic Layout for Social Cohesion
By reimagining the underutilized core as a central meeting space, the office gains functional and social value. Communal areas converge here—fostering interaction and a sense of unity.

Precision Through Collaboration
In a minimalist concept, precision is paramount. Every detail required close coordination between architect, project manager, and contractors. The ceiling merges seamlessly with bespoke joinery; sprinklers and lighting are subtly integrated—fusing technical rigor with visual clarity.

Sustainability Through Reuse
Furniture from two former offices was seamlessly reintegrated, minimizing waste. Natural materials—including raw, uncoated aluminum door handles—enhance the honest, unpolished character of the design.
