Located in Gubei, the "Little United Nations" in Shanghai, the project has a magic, magnificent, dreamy, and poetic context. The refurbishment restores the most natural state of condition with respects for existing building. By enhancing the space atmosphere through scene and functional arrangement, a new chapter belonging to the family is created. A home is a place with warmth, peace, pleasure, and sharing. As the most direct feedback of life, there isn't any conventional style and seemingly rational design for a home, but a haven for family members to pursue freedom and being themselves. With aesthetic taste and an open-minded attitude, the designer integrates space design with decorative items to create a poetic atmosphere.

Furniture like Pig Table by Moooi from the Netherlands, Moon System sofa Design by Zaha Hadid of B&B Italia, Qeeboo Rabbit Metal Baby, and Minotti Lawrence series from Italy, make the whole space becoming a charming theater with surprises at every corner. All the spaces and objects are interconnected flexibly, as the decorations might change for different moods, seasons and visitors. The designer hopes it will be an inspirational space where people feel connected with the owner through those special collections of décor.

The dining room blends different materials skillfully to gain an unexpected effect. The contrast between retro and innovation, softness and hardness, and the color palette reflects a distinct personality. The transition of similar colors highlights an elegant feeling, breaking the stereotype and creating a unique dining experience with a strong visual impact. The futuristic Q3 lamp by BAXTER made of curved nickel wires and 548 small bulbs becomes the focal point of the space.

The light and shadow quietly compose an artistic and poetic scene. The interior echo the different styles of artwork, and furniture collections beyond time and space. Each collection offers a deep conversation with their master in history, philosophy, and art. We can imagine a different lifestyle from those collections. The silent space becomes enriched and lively because of those collections, in which different artistic expressions and ideas converge to expand the depth of space. This enhances the sense of belonging of a home. Home can be simple yet rich in details.

In addition to a living area, a home is also a replenishment room to find one's pace. When coming home from the complicated world, one can relax and escape for a moment in the audiovisual room at basement. In a way, this corner of space operates independently like a small universe, with its own rhythm of time. It is concise but full of vitality. The quiet personality of the owner is sensitively captured by the designer and translated into a spatial language. The nourishment between home and people are specially emphasized. Each space is composed in different forms, full of varied cultural connotations, stories and senses of life.
