Taking consideration of the space, we advocate the design expression in the unique context of "poetic Orient" while being in line with tradition. As for the soft decoration, we try to make the scene here more vivid and artistic by practicing the poetic aesthetics of life and making the most of natural elements, such as white cloud, running water and so forth. By understanding the project positioning and local culture, Poetic Space Design deconstructs "high mountains and flowing water" into an architectural language. By virtue of the space spirit, the design team create a fantastic space in poetic style by the central lake of Tangxia, Dongguan City. The facade is arranged lengthwise with gray wood grain stone with the decoration of vertical and rhythmic lines. Furthermore, the long strip reception desk wrapped in black wood grain stone helps to extend the spatial scale.
The design team draw inspiration from the landscape painting Journey of Streams and Mountains to decorate the space with delicate architectural techniques. Those tensile line elements overlap, interweave and coordinate in the space, setting off the solemn mountains and hard texture of rocks. Thanks to the harmony between materials and lines, the space is full of the texture of sculpture aesthetics. The flowing geometric lines fill the reception area with rhythmic elegance. In order to bring in more daylight, the designer team make appropriate architectural optimization by building several longitudinal windows in the wall.
At the top of the space, Scarpa architectural detail folds are used to pile up a pyramid-like skylight. A bunch of simulated daylight falls down from the center of the folds along the linear art lamps, achieving the poetic reconstruction of the space itself. Taking inspiration from the Tao Te Ching, the design team use metal grid lamps enclosed on all sides to show the the idea of emptiness, which confirms the dialectic between space and object image with the enlightenment of Oriental philosophy.
The designer team take the spirit from the Voyager Golden Record and shape it into space and art lamps. The vertical lines are straight as strings, and the lampshades are shaped like copper disk records. What a pleasant experience it is by sitting by the riverside to enjoy elegant tweedle. A purple landscape stone bar is located on the back of the landscape wall, exactly in the position of the central axis of the negotiation area.
The facade is set against a backdrop of wood grain, leather and bronze metal cabinets, with flower decorations continuing the color of the space. The design of the negotiation area expresses the Oriental ritual order. The moving lines are with relaxed beauty, and the heavy full-height wooden screen separates two compartments on the left and right, outlining the grandeur and grace of the space.
