To design the buildings surrounded by river systems, the Chinese style of green tile and white wall, the Western Sichuan folk houses, Japanese style and Hui style are comprehensively applied. For the indoor space we continue with the Wabi-Sabi style to produce a natural, inherent casual beauty. The Wabi-Sabi style is more than an expression of simplicity and materials. What is more, it remains as pure and free as a clear spring notwithstanding the vicissitudes of time, the inconstancy and decay of all things. While applying the hand-made appliance art to basalt, mountain green, green bamboo weaving, and other natural materials, the Oriental traditional architectural elements decoration and modern art are combined. The morphological evolution, from the ancient building windows to screen moving doors, adds to the modern simplicity a tune of primitive, natural simplicity. Bamboo, a natural element, is woven into handicrafts through handicraft processing for decoration, making the space simpler and purer and echoing the resident’s tranquil inner world. The replacement of industrial materials and decorations with natural elements unfolds the Wabi-Sabi of life to heal mental wounds. Log, tall bamboo and other materials from the Pengzu Mountain are used to highlight the true colors of the Wabi-Sabi style. The window form typical of Western Sichuan folk houses is applied to space, thus presenting the texture beauty and natural beauty. As original ecology marries natural light, the primitive appearance replaces ornate expression. The texture and pattern of natural materials create a bigger room for people’s thinking. Leaving blank space in some parts only highlights the unique charm of the residence itself. Power of nature is borrowed to express the stunning artistic beauty. Wood-colored furniture made of logs, coupled with wood handicrafts, bring people and nature closer, evocative of the warmth and sweetness of peaceful days.
