The new office of this legendary design firm is a collective celebration of the founder’s mindset, aimed at building a shared culture of design, supporting better collaboration, encouraging more dynamic work styles, and helping staff engage better with both the analog and the digital. The office was designed to be more flexible, to adapt quickly in response to clients’ needs and their collaborative process, and to fundamentally be the place that inspires the best ideas.
Situated on three levels, the top and bottom are work floors divided into neighborhoods that provide a daily choice in work environments, with sit-stand workstations, phone rooms, shared team tables, and semi-private alcoves. The middle floor is home to The Bridge—a multipurpose reception, meeting, event, and collaboration space—the center of the office’s culture and community.
The space is not the expected gallery or precious showplace, but rather a creative laboratory in a workshop environment where design is about process and iteration.
