A garden villa with a new soul

So Design renovated 650 square meter villa by creating a unique spatial experience with visually vivid and emotionally captivating interior design approach for the client who have beautiful memories in this old home of the family heritage. The client asked for the renovation of the villa to enhance their lifestyle balancing work, entertainment, gathering with family and friends, connecting to nature and enjoying art as well as desiring a unique spatial experience with visually vivid and emotionally captivating spatial experience.

The client had beautiful and long-lasting memories in this old home of the family so they wanted to a new house with a new soul to create new memories. The vision of the client was extending and enhancing what existing space offers within the limits of the architectural practice. Thus, the essence of the brief was to feel the past, to dream the future and collaborating together to write a new spatial story in a poetic and elegant manner. One of the central aspects of the redesign is the exploration and transformation of spatial dynamics within the existing planning.

The design team reimagined the layout of the villa to reconfigure it to the needs and living priorities of the client. By fostering open plan in every floor, it is envisaged to optimize functionality, flow and balance between private and communal spaces. The entrance floor is designed for more formal welcoming with dining area and cozy spacious seating part opening to garden terrace which is added by the project team with steel construction. Kitchen also has a small seating area to have breakfast and daily coffee breaks while enjoying cooking and chatting together.

Basement floor is turned into both reading area with a specially-designed library and calming working environment with a table serving for meetings too. A kitchenette in the library niche is designed for the service of the residents and visitors enjoying the semi-open terrace connected to pool and lush garden. First floor of the house is the bedroom, bathroom and dressing room for the client while roof floor is designed for the visitors. As well as plan schema and interior design, the studio redesigned facades of the existing house with arched windows and doors to create a romantic and theatrical expression at the overall design. Also the transitions between indoor and outdoor areas are enhanced to welcome natural light and promote the beauty of the surrounding landscape.

The landscape design enriches the villa's visual appeal, seamlessly blending with the architectural aesthetics of arched windows while providing a serene and lush backdrop for the residents and visitors. It is aimed an enchanting blend of joy, romance, and elegance, creating a space that truly captivates the senses in the overall interior design of the house.
