The house was renovated in 2018 into a hospitable place for the family and for visitors. Two types of interventions have been done: more diverse atmospheres have been created and the boundaries have become more fluid. The interior has only been renovated with colours and the outside has become three times as large thanks to the addition of external rooms. During the renovation experience was of more importance than function. Every place has its own and different intention.

Close to the street, there’s a petanque court that is always accessible to and where everyone can play together, no matter age nor language. The other places can be shared in consultation with the family. The boundary between public and private, the classic front door, is an eight-meter-long swirling textile that can function as a partition, as a temptation as well as an invitation.

The outdoor rooms are made of green concrete: as an in-between of nature and architecture, even welcoming the poetic growth of moss. Half of the outdoor rooms are walled against the wind, the other half is covered against rain or bright sun. Each interior room has its own colour which creates a big diversity in use.
