Futago is a concrete house with a cantilever cube raised above the landscape on a mound of 15 thousand tons of soil. A minimalist and impressive object of 2 500 square metres is a highly innovative concept in Ukrainian private architecture. The interior of the house is filled with contrasting accents on a snow-white background. The living room greets you with 4.5 metre high windows, offering a panorama of the 8 kilometres of sweeping landscape. A bright blue kitchen and a colorful designer lamp around the edge of the entire living area shade the white background of the space. A white spiral staircase leads to the bar downstairs and the bedrooms upstairs. The designer's sculptures of contemporary Ukrainian artists enjoy nature views of the Kyiv region from panoramic windows throughout the house. “This house has become a continuation of nature and, on the contrary, its opposition. Futago is a blank sheet of paper in which tons of concrete, glass, passion, and the power of the human spirit have merged. All to admire the beauty around and learn to see the beauty inside”, comments founder of the studio, architect Serhii Makhno. The decor in this project is contemporary Ukrainian art and the author's product designs from Makhno's workshop. On the outdoor terrace, there are ceramic hares in the technique of metal reduction from the Autumn-winter 2020 collection, and of course — zoomorphic art toys and DIDO sculptures that have become the calling card of the studio.
