Among the great culinary offerings brought by the Grand Velas Los Cabos Hotel stands out the Frida restaurant. In Farca+Grappin, we focused on its historical context, a Mexico aimed to an economic growth in the mid-twentieth century, which would translate into imposing constructions and refined atmospheres that were then eclectic: Art deco, lagging in its arrival in the American continent engendered a unique style characterized by its elegant tone and sophistication. We have tried to bring that environment back to Frida using the basic concepts of the artistic movement: succession of planes transcribed in a ceiling of wooden screens that give general dynamism, borders achieved with careful applications of brass in floor, objects and furniture, accents of light in walls and exhibition furniture, set of textures in chairs and finally: the color, arranged harmonically in ceramics and objects, which contrast positively and evokes the same dialectic of the artistic movement transformed in Mexico, of the frivolous and the warm, of the sea and the land, but mainly of "the two Fridas", reciprocal construction that would form its idiosyncrasy so revised today, which is due to mestizaje, and is present in the integration of different atmospheres in the restaurant, making it an ideal space to eat in the afternoon due to the freshness and vitality of its finishes or enjoy a dinner in the middle of a sophisticated atmosphere and a privileged view thanks to the generous covered terrace.
