Following the design concept of "organic architecture", Atelier FORTH FORCE created a "Pocket Store" for DURAVIT. Named Fluid House, it is a commercial space in Li Gongdi, Suzhou. This approach draws inspiration from Frank Lloyd Wright's iconic Fallingwater, a house designed in 1937 which is renowned for its organic architectural principles. By utilizing specific geographical features, raw materials, and a harmonious connection to nature, Fluid House embodies the philosophical logic of organic architecture.
Drawing inspiration from Wright's concept, we have reimagined fluidity as the central theme and crafted a timeless living space for DURAVIT through authentic textures of gold and silver. By incorporating bionic flowing structures and a futuristic color scheme, we aim to establish a profound visual connection that allows visitors to fully immerse themselves in the beauty of art and design within the space.
The project utilized sustainable reusable metal as its primary structural material, overcoming the constraints of traditional metal processing techniques, and resulting in a soft and inviting visual effect by using a rigid material. By employing design approaches, it embodied artistic aesthetics while also resonating with DURAVIT's product collection and brand characteristics. This creates a more engaging connection between consumers and the brand's products through visual appeal.
