Through the design method, the exhibition contents, such as the difficulty of Antarctic challenge, the polar precipitous environment, the situation of the call to adventure, and the action for dream, are presented to the audience with concrete experience and feeling. The exhibition is mainly set in white, showing the cold and loneliness of the Antarctic. At the start of the exhibition, we have a tortuous and narrow passage leading to the entrance which makes it difficult for visitors to take a straightforward route or to walk side by side. After all, the path to the fulfillment of dreams won’t be smooth and one can only rely on oneself alone to reach the destination.
There is also a “Bar for Adventurers” that reconstructs the recruitment scenario before an adventure, because that’s what a bar is to adventurers – a place to call for new members, hatch up a plot together, and form a close association. In this part of the exhibition, three Arctic explorers are introduced to help visitors get familiar with early expeditions to the poles generations ago, while the sets and props of the bar creates an atmosphere that further prompts visitors to bravely follow their dreams and embark on an adventure.
In this exhibition, we hope to dare the visitors to follow their dreams and hope to turn Antarctica into a symbol of the risk one takes for one’s dreams, awakening the spirit of adventure inherent in the DNAs of all human beings.
