The concept was to create a sensation of openness & natural luminosity like a skylight on the ROOM XVII in UN. A Mix of Design & Technology to create an ALIVE CEILING with LED system whose geometry draws its sources from the UAE emblem. This emblem is composed of a golden falcon in the centre of which is placed the flag of UAE. At the foot of the falcon is also inscribed the name of UAE in Kufic script. Thus, in the ceiling, the name of UAE is transformed into a metallic architectural structure while retaining the traditional and cultural signs of Arabic calligraphy. To finalize this ceiling, the metallic structure is coupled to the sky, symbol of the state of mind of the UAE. For the endless, unlimited sky translates with poetry the futuristic and ambitious vision of their country. Thus was born the masterpiece of Room XVII: the UAE sky evolving from Dawn to Dusk. Indeed, this artificial sky moved also for a whole day, thus imitating a real open space. Otherwise, the Entire Room was also designed in the colours and scenery of the Emirates. On the periphery of the Room, a woodwork of sand-coloured blades, with undulating effects, subtly suggests the organic movements created by the wind in the sand dunes. On the ground, a carpet with multiple orange hues expresses the unique colours of the sand of the desert of Abu Dhabi. Furnitures with krion material, arranged in a circular way in the room, is draped in a white ecru recalling traditional clothes of the people of the desert.
