eggsinn, meaning "rebirth and inclusiveness," is a fashion brand collective store in Chengdu, China. It embraces diverse cultures and carries different brands' cultural and value backgrounds. The design team hopes to express the spiritual core of eggsinn to the world through a unique store image, creating a space that embodies adventure, exploration, and transcendence.

The design concept revolves around the idea of "transcendence," symbolizing both a spiritual and physical journey. The space is envisioned as a vessel navigating through time, space, and the ever-changing world of fashion. This theme is reflected in the store’s layout, divided into three interconnected areas: the Cabin Display Area, the Upstream Hanging Clothing Area, and the Matrix Storage Area. Each zone serves a specific purpose but is linked by the overarching goal of encouraging exploration and discovery.

At the starting point of the adventure is the Cabin Departure Area, where a striking inverted ship becomes the focal point of the design. The ship creates a dramatic visual impact and blurs the boundary between the interior and exterior of the space, drawing passersby into the store. Shoes are displayed in a dynamic, open arrangement that encourages movement and exploration. The space is designed to feel organic, with random yet thoughtful arrangements of display cabinets that enhance the sense of adventure. An open pop-up area further fosters adventurous and exploratory fun experiences.

The Upstream Hanging Clothing Area draws inspiration from the winding paths of the Grand Canyon, guiding visitors on a journey through the space. Continuous, flowing partition forms and irregular material boundaries create a sense of intrigue, while mirror reflections on the ceiling extend the space. Arc-shaped fabric screens are the most experimental feature, designed to be translucent and highly flexible. The interplay of light, shadow, and fabric creates a dynamic atmosphere that evolves with every step.

The Matrix Storage Area is designed for practicality and aesthetics. Rather than using closed storage, the space features open storage by arranging cabinets in lateral matrix, which displays products clearly and allows easy access. Mirrors on the sides of the cabinets extend the visual depth of the space, creating a striking visual effect. The use of mirror-finished stainless steel on the ceiling and reflective flooring maximizes the sense of height, reinforcing the theme of interconnectedness. The space is both functional and visually captivating, evoking a sense of timelessness and order.
