Barriera is a neighborhood in Turin that is going to switch: here is EX INCET, a post-industrial area of a former electrical cables factory. lamatilde and the business accelerator The Doers developed a concept and a project, by joining the coworking and sharing economy to the food and beverage world: an innovative co-cooking hub, oriented to Italian cuisine’s love for innovation, and a new multi-purpose destination, deliberately far from the city center, that offers moments of leisure, production and culture. A pilot project in Italy, ready to be extended and modified in other realities and cities across the world.
The need of professional spaces for rent in food and beverage area, to help small businesses, emerges from a 2 year scientific validation process. The idea of EDIT arises here: from a shared brewery, integrated then by shared kitchens.
The space, 2,400 square meters divided in two floors, allows several other possibilities: Edit includes a bakery, a pub brewery, a cocktail bar and a restaurant: a place for different experiences where food and interaction possibilities coexist harmoniously and where clients find a complete “menu” of options for entertainment, as told by the visual identity project, inspired by hobby modeling kits.
"A taste for sharing" means that Edit supports local growth and new social practices, both related to food, focusing mostly on sharing.
