Drinks&Co is the largest web marketplace in Europe for wines, champagnes, beers, spirits and non-alcoholic beverages. In the midst of Covid-19, the Pernod Ricard group is shaking up the rules with the opening of the new and original Drinks&Co concept store in the heart of Paris.

Faced with the rationality of the internet, only a physical space is able to create links, relationships, experiences, and even the unexpected. Between shopping and hospitality, the beginning of the answer is in Hosping®. At once an e-shop, cocktail bar and masterclass space, this new style of establishment offers for the first time, in the same place, multiple experiences: test, taste, learn, celebrate, refuel and sip a cocktail with or without alcohol.

Because having an aperitif means getting away and going elsewhere for a little while—being outside, on a terrace, in a square, on the edge of a swimming pool, on an island, in the tropics. The identity is inspired by plants and fruits that invite us to explore the world and its flavors. In-store shelving signage allows for thematic organization according to times of consumption. Under the ceiling, a real canopy. Look closely! The foliage hides the ingredients that make up most of the drinks offered on site. Its large, thick leaves seem to descend from the ceiling to create movement. Spanning 450 m2, its roofline varies from room to room, but it's not just for graphic effect. Above all, it’s a sound trap composed of three 20cm-thick layers that enhances the acoustic comfort of the space.

All possible experiences around drinks in one place : in the morning it’s a store, at noon a restaurant terrace, in the afternoon a masterclass workshop, and in the evening a cocktail bar for your afterwork. The furniture adapts to various moments of the day. In the evening, the tulle curtains fall to create an impression of fog and evening mist. The two large nearly 15-meter-long bars structure meetings and exchanges between guests and the masters of ceremonies, the bartenders. The store is closed, music! The bars open and the party begins.

Innovant, creative and functionnal but sustainable too ! We favored local French service providers and suppliers. We worked with Lin&Art, a south-ouest French supplier for the custom wood furniture. We only used organic paints made by natural minerals and pigments, thanks to the artisanal French supplier Ressource Peinture.

Drinks & Co also follows Pernod Ricard’s sustainable bar application guidelines and responsible alcohol consumption principles. Single-use plastics are banned in the store, while take-away cups and packaging are made from environmental-friendly and biodegradable materials. Cocktails are also made with the “zero waste” principle in mind, such as using fruit peel as garnish or extracting oil, and even straws are made from coffee grounds. Regarding the menus, Drinks&Co offers gourmet, seasonal dishes every week, reconciling pleasure, sustainability and ethics.
