Our brief was to create a beautiful home for an inspired, well-travelled client to reflect elements from various countries visited in the form of interaction/ layout and finishes throughout the house. This home was designed to have different spaces to unwind. KLD wanted to fuse the client’s love of bold colours with graphic patterns throughout the house linking each zone.
On entering, one is immediately overloaded with an abundance of bold colour and pattern in rich, aubergine accents.
The two reception rooms which veer off from the hall are completely clad in hand made curved profile details. These details are complemented by the bold blue gloss walls with beautiful glazing creating a sheer opulence to the room.
The floors were attentively designed in a rich walnut stained parquet floor, meeting a double border and soldiers linking into a stunning Victorian tile insert.
We created a tunnel effect kitchen in a rich deep colour palette which contrasts against the lighter tones in the conservatory allowing light to flood through.
The bedroom details are very simply allowing the bespoke 3m headboard high take precedence and stand tall in all its glory; made from rattan attached to a timber frame.
The bathroom sees a deep blue stained, cantilevered, concrete block vanity custom built to carefully line up with all wall and floor finishes.
