The renovation of the three-unit, three-story-high 30-year old shophouses into a beauty clinic, DOCTOR MEK CLINIC, takes advantage of the site’s ideal location on the side of Bantatthong main road in inner-city Bangkok. Home to rows of decades-old commercial shophohouses, the neighborhood has been a vibrant food scene with long-standing restaurants that welcome university students, office workers as well as mushrooming content creators who pay their visits at the area’s local establishments.

The ‘Wonderland’s gallery’ design concept is a fun interpretation of ‘cloud,’ playing with the name of ‘DOCTOR MEK CLINIC’ (mek is Thai word for cloud). The round, curved and freeform shapes bear no boundaries and limits. Meanwhile, the shape of a cloud is used as the project’s main logo, symbolizing freedom.
