The project is located in a small rural village and adaptive reused from several stone houses. Rural context, history and image inspired the interior design and inner story. It integrated the old and new buildings, reinterpreting the relaxed lifestyle of rural through soft colors and materials such as black walnut, rubble stone and concrete coating. Firstly, transparency - rendering the demarcation between inside/outside ambiguous. The stone house itself possesses old and natural elements and grows in the mountains. Generous glass surfaces offer panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and forests. While maintaining views through the glazed façade, make the visitors asleep in nature. The function modules in the guest rooms including hallway, living area and bedroom, are integrated into the building without extra decoration and equipment to make the space as pure as possible. The second idea relates to the existing buildings’ features, such as rough stones and old trees with deep roots, relaxed courtyard. Many of the materials used in the project have a life. This kind of raw materials will slowly grow old with time and air. Old objects in a space could represent the history, accumulation of culture and elegance. The rural style was deliberately reserved during the design process, leaving some natural clumsiness in the space and makes it not too exquisite. The third factor is color. The peaceful and welcoming atmosphere of the building interior is emphasized by the use of gray concrete texture and stable walnut furniture as the main choices. Comfort for the visitors is prioritized through the inclusion of communal spaces and furniture.
